The only down side was that there is not a door on the front porch. It is screened in but there is no screen door to stop the bugs coming in. I wanted to have the cabin door open for more fresh air while I was cooking but couldn't do so without letting the bugs in. It also would have been nice to sit on the porch in the evening but I seem to attract every mosquito within a 20 miles radius so I was unable to enjoy the porch.

This is such a wonderful little campground! First off the owner (Maxine) was so gracious and not only helped me back into my site but also checked on us each day and made sure we had everything we needed. Our site was next to a nice running stream that was so peaceful to listen to and was also great entertainment for our kids. And the sites are very large so you have plenty of room to relax. Plus you are in close proximity to everything around this area so very convenient to go out during the day and explore with lots to do. We will definitely be back and so appreciate all the care and attention from the owners and letting us stay at their beautiful campground!

My husband and I stayed in the cabin for a few nights and really enjoyed our stay. The cabin is pretty small but it is perfect for just two people. It was very clean and the sheets ad linens were all spotless too. Maxine was there to greet us and she was wonderfully helpful and friendly. Unlike a lot of other cabins in the area she doesn't tack a big "cleaning fee" onto the cost of your stay. One thing people should be aware of is that the bed is very small. Its wonderfully comfortable but small. My husband and I are both average weight and so the size didn't bother us at all but had we been much bigger it could have made for some uncomfortable nights.

Nice spot not far from Banner Elk. Full hookups, with DirecTV & wifi. Coin op. washer & dryer. Our site is next to the road, but not a lot of traffic. Turn from road is a bit tight but we made it with 28 ft trailer. Would not recommend it for large rigs, and nothing for kids to do here. We were pleased with our week long stay.

This is our second time staying here. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The owners are awesome. Located near alot great places to visit and eat. Hoping to make this an annual visit.

Nice folks, clean facility. This is a good location for many attractions without long winding mountain roads to travel getting to them or back. Enjoyed my stay. A sliding bolt or deadlock would be nice for the back door!
